Beth Etter pursued her undergraduate degree at Northern Arizona University in English education, with a minor in Spanish, and a certificate in women's studies. She received a master's degree in English and a certificate in women's studies. With 20 years of experience in higher education and five years in the corporate world, she brings a blend of communications and marketing skills to the College of Liberal Arts.

She has served on the Board of the Colorado Humanities since 2023.
